Training & Placements · Sparklex Academy
Learn to build the AI agents companies actually put in production.
A hands-on program in LLM backend engineering, agentic systems and prompt engineering — taught by engineers who ship these systems for clients across Canada, the UAE and India. Get certified in 6 months, or fast-track the dual course in 3 months.
- Live instructor-led
- 1:1 mentor reviews
- 6 shipped projects
- 2 certificates
- Placement support till you're hired
Choose your pace
Two tracks. One dual certification.
Both tracks teach the same core: backend engineering that speaks fluent LLM. The 6-month track adds production LLMOps, a capstone under review, and the full placement cycle.
Fast track · 12 weeks
Agentic Backend Sprint
For working developers who already write Python or Java and want to add AI systems to their stack — fast, without leaving the job.
- Python & FastAPI for AI services — async, streaming, queues
- Prompt engineering: system design, structured output, few-shot
- Evals that catch regressions before your users do
- RAG end to end — chunking, embeddings, hybrid search, citations
- Tool-calling agents with memory and guardrails
- 3 portfolio projects + resume and GitHub review
Full track · 24 weeks
AI + Backend Engineer, Dual Certification
For graduates and career switchers who want to be hireable as either an AI engineer or a backend engineer — and interview well for both.
- Everything in the fast track, taught at depth with lab time
- Multi-agent orchestration, planners, MCP servers, human-in-the-loop
- LLMOps: tracing, token & cost budgets, caching, rate limits, fallbacks
- Backend depth — Postgres, Redis, Docker, CI/CD, AWS deployment
- Fine-tuning, distillation and when not to reach for them
- 8-week capstone reviewed by Sparklex delivery engineers
- Mock interviews, referrals and placement support until you're hired
Curriculum
Six modules, read like a trace.
Modules overlap the way real projects do — you keep shipping the previous build while the next one starts. Green modules are shared with the 12-week fast track.
Placements
The part most courses leave to you.
Placement work starts in week one, not after the last class. You leave with a portfolio a hiring manager can read, and interviews you're prepared for.
Portfolio, not certificates
Every project ships to a public repo with a README, tests and a live demo link. That repo is what gets you the first call.
Profile engineering
Resume rewritten for AI-engineering roles, LinkedIn and GitHub audited line by line by a mentor who reviews hires.
Interview reps
Mock rounds on system design, LLM cost and latency trade-offs, live coding and behavioural — with written feedback each time.
Introductions
Referrals into the Sparklex delivery network and partner companies across India, Canada and the UAE, plus openings shared until you're placed.
This is built for you if…
- 01 You're a CS/IT graduate and every job asks for AI experience you don't have yet.
- 02 You write backend code already and want to lead AI features, not watch them.
- 03 You've built demos with an LLM API but nothing that survives real users.
- 04 You're switching from testing, support or data entry into engineering.
What you need before day one
- REQ Comfort with any one programming language — we bring you to Python.
- REQ A laptop with 8 GB RAM and a stable connection for live sessions.
- REQ 10–12 hours a week for the full track, 15–18 for the fast track.
- NICE Basic SQL and Git. If you don't have it, week one covers it.
Questions
Before you enrol
What's the difference between the 3-month and 6-month course?
The 12-week fast track covers backend foundations, prompt engineering, RAG and tool-calling agents, and ends with three portfolio projects and one certificate. The 24-week dual track covers the same ground at greater depth and adds production LLMOps, backend system design, a reviewed capstone, two certificates and the full placement cycle. Most people who want a job change take the 24-week track.
Do I need machine learning or maths background?
No. This is an engineering program, not a research one. You'll be building services, retrieval pipelines and agents against model APIs — not deriving gradients. If you can write a loop and a function, you can follow module one.
How are the classes run?
Live and instructor-led, with recordings available afterwards so you can revisit anything you missed. Batches run in parallel so working professionals can attend, and every cohort has scheduled lab hours for one-to-one help.
Is the placement guaranteed?
No honest training provider can guarantee a job. What we commit to is the work that gets you hired: a reviewed portfolio, interview preparation with written feedback, referrals into our delivery network and partner companies, and continued introductions after the course ends until you're placed.
What certificate do I receive?
Fast-track graduates receive the Sparklex Certified Agentic AI Engineer certificate. Dual-track graduates receive both that and the Certified LLM Backend Engineer certificate, issued on completion of the capstone review.
How do fees and instalments work?
Fees depend on the track and the batch you join, and instalment plans are available. Share your background on a counselling call and we'll send the current fee structure with the options that apply to you.
Next cohort
Seats are capped so every project gets reviewed.
Tell us where you are today — degree, current role, what you've built — and we'll tell you honestly which track fits and what the next six months would look like.
